Alicia Baird is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor’s
degree in Neurobiology and Behavior from Cornell University and her Master’s degree in
nursing from Yale University School of Nursing.
Alicia is a dedicated, attentive, and compassionate provider with over ten years of experience.
She has worked in a variety of settings including private practice, crisis stabilization, residential,
community-based, hospital, and outpatient drug detox and rehabilitation programs. Alicia works
with adolescents, adults, and elderly individuals, as well as families and couples. She is also
bilingual in Spanish and English.
Alicia treated clients age 15 years and older. She provides medication management, alone or in
combination with individual psychotherapy, while holding a non-judgmental space for clients to
share difficulties and events. Alicia is eclectic in her approach with an emphasis on
patient-centered, trauma-informed, holistic care. She utilizes techniques from Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused, Mindfulness-based, Motivational
Interviewing, and Strength-based models.
