About Caryn Nigliazzo, LPC

Caryn Nigliazzo holds two graduate degrees, with an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and an M.A. in Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Caryn utilizes evidence based practice such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and her specialties include anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma, and childhood disorders. Caryn also has a special passion for helping parents with children as young as 3 years of age learn parent management skills that will support them in more effectively managing their child’s behavioral and mental health issues. Prior to beginning private practice, Caryn was a psychotherapist for the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at McLane Children’s Specialty Clinic. She has also taught at the university level, worked as a psychological diagnostician in the juvenile justice system, and worked as an emergency services therapist helping those in crisis.
