About Christina Ramirez, LMFT

Christina is a compassionate, caring and experienced marriage family therapist specializing in early childhood mental health. After receiving her master’s degree from Saint Mary’s College of California in 2007 – training extensively in the areas of child development, attachment-based play therapies, cognitive behavior therapy, and feedback-informed treatment – Christina went on to work in various Early Head Start programs for low income families in the San Francisco bay area. Later, she worked with foster and adopted children at Rady Children’s Hospital’s world-renowned Chadwick Center for Children and Families in San Diego, CA.

Prior to joining Chupik Counseling, Christina worked at Kaiser Permanente Hospital counseling children, teens and adults. While she has specialized training in treating children and adolescents, she also sees adults who are suffering from a wide variety of mental health and wellness concerns including anxiety, grief, parenting concerns and life transitions.

Christina’s treatment approaches are tailored to the unique needs of each individual. With her diverse background, she often includes meditation, art therapy, and mindfulness practices. She additionally provides spiritual (non-denominational) counseling when requested. She is also bi-cultural and conversational bi-lingual in Spanish.
