Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Dr. Williams attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a Dean's Scholar obtaining a Bachelor's of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences and a Bachelor's of Arts in the Plan II Honors program. After graduation, Dr. Williams joined Teach for America and served as a corps member for two years, teaching calculus in Oak Cliff, Dallas. Subsequently, she worked as a coder and consultant with The Advisory Board, a healthcare think tank headquartered in Washington, D.C. Following family tradition, Dr. Williams then attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch and completed her adult psychiatry residency at Case Western Reserve. Dr. Williams is currently licensed in Ohio and Texas. Dr. Williams has special interests in racial microaggressions, interpersonal relationship discord, holistic health, and women's mental health. Dr. Williams has completed a community mental health fellowship at Case Western and the REACH fellowship through Yale.
