Dr. Keraga graduated Sum Cum Laude after a 3yr program at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY with a BS degree in Biology. She attended a 3 1/2 yr medical school program at NYMC and went on to do her internship and two years of residency at St. Vincent's Hospital in NYC in psychiatry. Her last year of her residency was completed at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 1982. She has a broad experience of treating patients in a variety of settings and with a variety of diagnoses. While she trained in psycho-analytic psychotherapy at St. Vincent's Hospital, she was a clinical medical director of a woman's unit dealing with woman's issues, abuse, trauma, depression etc at a Houston psychiatric hospital as well as clinical medical director of an adolescent unit. As an outpatient psychiatrist she did family therapy and couples counseling. Dr. Keraga has treated patients from adolescence to the geriatric age group. Her experience includes medication management and psychotherapy. Some of the diagnoses she has treated include, Depression, Bipolar/Manic-Depression, Anxiety/Phobias, Grief/loss, Family issues, Gender issues, PTSD, Schizophrenia, Psychosis, Alcoholism, Relationship and Adjustment issues.
