I work with clients dealing with a variety of issues, from all different cultural, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds. While engaging in therapy with you, I will always take into consideration your culture and your unique situation while exploring possibilities to reaching your goals with therapy. If you choose me as your therapist, our therapeutic experience will be one of conversation. It will not just be me telling you what to do, because I believe you know yourself better than anyone else. Together, we will work to find solutions that work specifically for you. As your therapist, I will respect you and create a safe environment for us to explore your true feelings and thoughts in. The type of therapeutic discussions we will have will be future-oriented while taking into account an exploration of what has worked and what has not worked in your past.
I began my educational career at the University of Houston Clear Lake where I earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology. I went on to gain a Master’s of Science in Psychology with a concentration in family, couples, and individual psychotherapy from Our Lady of the Lake University-San Antonio, an Accredited MFT program. I am now a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - Associate and Licensed Professional Counselor - Intern. I enjoy working with couples, families, adults, adolescents and the LGBT community.
