About Jo Vendl, Psychologist

Dr. Jo Vendl is a licensed clinical psychologist with a specialization in child and family therapy. Dr. Jo’s primary focus and clinical expertise is in supporting trauma recovery for those who have experienced abuse, neglect, family or relationship violence, combat trauma, and other life threatening events. Dr. Jo practices with a relational, mindfulness based, and collaborative approach to the treatment of psychological distress. Dr. Jo also provides psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults seeking clarity for attention problems, behavioral and emotional concerns, and personality/relationship concerns.

Dr. Jo earned her masters and doctoral degrees at the University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology, where she studied international disaster psychology and child and family therapy. She gained important experience in the treatment of trauma while working in Sarajevo, Bosnia, and with refugees, asylum seekers, and survivors of human trafficking in Denver, CO.
