About Malitta Taylor

Hello! I look forward to helping you reach your personal goals. I completed my Master’s Degree in Counseling at Baylor University in Waco, TX. I then went on to complete a doctoral degree in Counselor Education from Sam Houston State University in the field of Counselor Education. I have over 13 years of clinical experience across a variety of settings including outpatient specialty clinics, crisis intervention, structured outpatient programs, inpatient psychiatric, large nonprofits, private practice and the university setting. I also taught counseling and related courses at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX. I provided clinical and administrative supervision to counselor education students, interns and professionals and have a broad range of clinical experience working with individuals and groups across the life span in the following areas:

My approach emphasizes the mutual development of goals for therapy and provision of ongoing evaluation of the therapeutic approach. Services can include individual, couples, family and group therapy across the lifespan. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Crisis Intervention. I am a lover of learning so I am always looking for ways to update my skills and knowledge base.
