Peters Etchu is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Have been in healthcare for over twelve years, providing holistic, compassionate mental, and medical care to various demography of patients. Have worked with various psychiatric hospitals around the Houston area providing care to underserved population with mental health challenges.
Graduated from Delaware State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama.
Have worked at the University of Texas Harris County Psychiatric Center’s Geri-Psych, and dual diagnosis program, providing care to adolescents, adults, and older adults with psychiatric, cognitive, as well as drug and alcohol problems.
Apt in providing culture sensitive care with great focus on using a holistic approach to satisfy patients’ religious and traditional needs. The comprehensive wellbeing and complete amelioration of the quality of life of my patients is of prime objective. Other areas of concentration include preventing self-harm, medication management, helping patients attain mood stability, personality, and other behavioral problems.
