Renia Smith, DNP-PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, is a Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner currently caring for patients at the Progressive Behavioral Health- Round Rock office. She holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree in psychiatric mental-health as well as a Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is dual board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a nurse practitioner in both psychiatric mental-health and primary care.
She has experience diagnosing, treating, and managing children, adolescents, and adults with mental-health issues such as ADHD, Addiction, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, and more. She uses a biopsychosocial approach, paying particular attention to lifestyle choices such as diet, physical activity, sleep, medication, and therapy. Renia is a compassionate provider and has a heart for serving underserved populations. She has experience working with medicaid children/adolescents. She is dedicated in continuing to help build and increase quality, mental-health access for the community she serves.
