About Sabrina Powell (LCSW)

Sabrina Powell has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science, a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to practice independently in the states of Texas and California.

I have worked in the field of mental health for 38 years. My specialties include working with individuals with depression and anxiety. I have held several positions including, but not limited to the following: Psychotherapist, Counselor for Community Mental Health Centers, Mental Health Case Manager, and a Foster Family Agency Director. I have been certified to provide Mental Health Services and implement Culturally Sensitive Trainings, Multi- Cultural Trainings, and I use them in my practice.

I have also worked with Veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and at the VA Hospital of Atlanta, Georgia as a Therapist. I received the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition presented by Congressman John Lewis in recognition of outstanding and invaluable service to the community. I enjoy interior decorating, photography, gardening, yoga, reading, theater and spiritual/prayer/meditation. I am passionate about motivating others in achieving their dreams and goals and to develop coping skills to alleviate negative thought patterns and behaviors.
